IP connection of floating contacts / fault signal contacts

Many customers have distributed infrastructures such as remote servers, networks and equipment rooms. These sites can be remote and are mostly unmanned, so in the event that a failure of the existing equipment and systems occur it is often not discovered or reported immediately.

Potential-free contacts / remote monitoring digital signal outputs

Many sites and systems are already equipped with potential-free relay circuits and digital contacts fitted in the form of inputs or outputs. Using these potential free contacts and digital outputs can provide important status messages such as malfunctions or failures that are alerted directly from these systems.

Many home, security and safety engineering systems can be equipped with special adapters that will forward these status messages. Often however, these systems are proprietary and do not comply with the normal standards when it comes to the integration of building services in IT.

Central monitoring of distributed equipment rooms

With the monitoring of individual, dozens or hundreds of distributed systems one might think this would be an overwhelming task or for that matter impossible considering the communications systems and equipment required for these tasks.

However, by using the equipment offered from Didactum®, for example the sensorProbe2, sensorProbe8 and securityProbe alarm servers combined with their corresponding sensors can be easily and cost effectively integrated into your environments. This includes your critical infrastructures using minimal space on your existing TCP / IP network to remotely monitor safety and all other conditions in real time.

You can easily connect these digital contacts and potential-free signal outputs from each system to the sensorProbe or securityProbe X20 & X60 alarm servers that are equipped with the 20 or 60 potential free inputs. This allows the immediate capability to accept the alerts from your business critical systems engineering alarm systems. From your command center you can quickly and efficiently coordinate the responses to the technicians who are responsible and can take immediate action.

If you included or purchased the CCTV cameras supported on the securityProbe IP alarm servers, you can then monitor your live feeds from your security cameras that is located at the remote sites or for example your utility room allowing you to remotely monitor any repair work in real time.

In case of a network connection failure in your office the securityProbe 5E, securityProbe-X20 or securityProbe-X60 can easily be equipped with the optional GPRS / GSM Modem-bundle for either Internet connection or sending SMS & voice call alerts to your mobile phones.
