The precise SNMP-enabled sensors were developed by our official partner AKCess Pro / AKCP Inc. specifically for the sensorProbe2, sensorProbe8 and securityProbe alarm servers.

The installation of the sensors is very simple. The majority of these sensors are equipped with the standard network technology known as the RJ-45 connector. This allows for not only easy installation, but sensor extensions can be added using standard LAN cables connected to the sensor port on the sensorProbe or securityProbe measuring device.

Using the Auto Sense feature of the inserted sensor it is then automatically identified and displayed in the web interface of the sensorProbe or securityProbe measuring device. Here you can then set the desired threshold and warning values as required including all alert types such as email or SNMP traps, SMS alerts depending on the alarm server type.

There is also a disconnect, or sensor error feature which can instantly alert as soon as the connection to the sensor has a problem due to a break in the cable or if the manipulation was interrupted.

Many of our intelligent sensors can be administered using a conventional CAT-5e as mentioned above.  For example, the combined temperature & humidity sensor can be extended up to 300 meters, so that a flexible mounting of the sensor is made possible.

Many of our intelligent sensors are equipped with an OID (Object Identifier) and can be made by simple SNMP-get command queried directly (polled) are.

This can also be done through network management systems (OpenNMS, Nagios, IBM Tivoli, HP OpenView, WhatsUp Gold, etc.) or SNMP tools (MRTG, Cacti, etc.).
